The year is 2012, three years ago the Empire City event rocked the world, activating a gene which laid dormant in many people throughout the world. With this came the term "Conduit," naming any person who exempted superhuman abilities. The most widely known conduit is Cole MacGrath, a man who eliminated the criminal threats in Empire City.
His tail is permanently etched into the annals of legend as he ventures to New Marais, helping the city back to civility by eliminating the fascist militia, the mutants running through the streets at night, and the cryopathic forced conduits.
His solution, use Dr. Wolfe's RFI, Ray Field Inhibitor, to kill off the conduits... While sacrificing himself.
But... Not every conduit died... And with no one with such a reputation as Cole to advocate for the conduits... Well, a genocide was in order.

In a world where people can be born with a genetic mutation that gives them powers, surely you'd think everything would be like a comic book right? Well you'd be wrong. People born with this gene are called "Conduits", or Bio-terrorrists if your in the majority who hate them. Conduits are viewed as monsters who only bring evil to the world, and are captured by the "Department of Unified Protection" or "D.U.P" for short. The D.U.P takes these conduits to a prison known as Curden Cay Station and do God knows what to them. So you can imagine that finding out one day that you are one of these conduits would be an extremely bad situation to be in, and unfortunately for our freshly graduated main protagonist, he is about to find out just how dark this world can be. With the death of his lover at the hands of a conduit during their escape from the D.U.P, will our protagonist fall to his anger and seek vengeance for his lover's death? Or will he prevail and choose to be the better man in a world where the better people are at risk?

The Anthros broke free and took what was left of the 'White Mist,' the substance that created them, and put it into the planet's air supply. Long story short, most animals worldwide have begun transforming into Anthros, and started devastating the world's militaries before attacking cities. Humanity is now facing extinction with their last millions while the Anthro civilization is over 2 Billion strong and counting. The war between Humans and Anthros has lasted for over 50 years, and while humans may be disadvantaged against the Anthros higher strength, speed, endurance, and intelligence, they still beat Anthros with improvisation, adaptability, and tactics. The war has destroyed all four Eastern continents, leaving behind a creature both Humans and Anthros call Reapers, who are husks of the person they were. The Anthros have near complete control over North America and are fighting Humanity in South America, but the main human bases are located on the Hawaiian islands.
