The Mostly-True Story of Alexander Kratt

When Alexander Kratt was born, she was just like any other kid. But her father had a job unlike any other kid's father. He was in charge of a top secret project at Reve Industries. His coworkers had discovered something revolutionary, but Dr. Kratt, seeing it as immoral, held back. Mr. Reve, Reve Industries' power-hungry owner, had something to say about that. Or rather, something to do. And before she knew it, Alexander Kratt was left an orphan. Her late father's co-workers "took her in", and used her as a lab rat at Reve Industries. Throughout her time there, she learned some of the company's darkest secrets, including those leading to the death of her father. But the people there promise her that if she keeps quiet, they'll give her powers... powers beyond her imagination. Without thinking of the consequences, she accepts...

Caleb Crest couldn't help but wonder who Alexander Kratt was. She was always on the class list, but she never showed up to school. Maybe this year, in high school, things would be different. She was supposed to sit behind him in Geometry. The first day of school came, and every student's attention was focused on the girl sitting in the back corner of the classroom, behind Caleb.
