Living in Darkness

Her small body was made of the purist light, carved by the rushing waters of the nile river, blessed by the moon and loved by the sun. But inside there is a battle of good and evil. Evil that was drenched in the pits of hell , blessed by the sullied, hated by the damned. She wasn't meant for this world and yet she is in this world. Her soul holds the key to ending it all. Bring all people of race together. Truly, it would change how we view this world. She will be the light in the darkness and the darkness in the light.

Ray lays lifeless strapped to her small broken bed. Filled with popped springs that scratches and prods her back. She say nothing about her familiar companion of discomfort it being a constant for the past year.
"How was you day today Ray?" The man in the corner said
Ray said nothing, laying lifeless in her bed staring at nothing. Her show low breaths fills the room. You would think she was dead if it wasn't for her chest moving up and down.

"Are we not going to say anything today as well?" The man said beginning to scribble in his small notebook.

Ray began to turn her head slowly into his direction. He continues to scribble, as she opens her mouth slightly wetting her dry cracked lips and say's "Do you know what it's like to live in darkness?" She choked out for the first time in a year.
