Taka has been overshadowed by his brother since the time of his birth. Growing up during the time of great droughts wasn't easy for the young cub. But who says being second before your own sibling was easy?
Overtime, Taka is molded into the dark and villainous lion that we all know today, who murders his brother to obtain the power that he never gotten as a cub, due to the family tradition.
Rated P-G 13 for Darkness and Gore.

The Lion King 2 Remake- The Forgotten Ones
When Kiara lost her brother Kopa, her father never let his guard down. He forbid her of most things, and was often blinded by his responsibilities to remind her why he was doing this to her. As Kiara grew from a cub to a fine lioness, she grew ungrateful and took her life of relaxation and safety for granted. She never though once of the fact that any other lion needed this protection. That being Kovu. A lion who had been taken in by Scar and Zira after Vitani went missing. They raised him as their own, manipulated him into forgetting about his elder sister and sent him after Simba. But as time passed, Kovu abandoned his "parents" and decided to focus on decency. Alternate universe where the lion guard doesn't exist. Kion gets mistreated by his older brother as a cub and fights back with anger and hate, then slowly gets manipulated by Zira and the outlanders. Kiara treats him with respect whist Kopa just teases him and make him feel misrable to the point where he snaps and swears revenge apon him. A Mistake
After Kopa is murdered, Kiara is no longer granted freedom to anything. In Simba's rage to defend his pride from Zira, he grows stone hearted and no longer grants Kiara the right to select a mate. Let alone look for one. Much time later Vitani is caught to be pregnant by Zira who wasted no time to banish her from the out lands, in her fear of defeat after losing a useful member of her pride she is more persistent on Kovu who soon gives into the manipulation and no longer cares for anything other spilling Simba's blood and hiding from Zira. When escaping Zira's grasp for the day, he is soon caught by the males of the pride after stealing kills, they operate to take his life until he is found by Kiara.Complete

This is basically what I think should've happened before The Lion King movie, the parts of the story that we weren't told about or didn't see.
