It all started with mom. It was the most perfect day. Zap, our blue jay was chirping and drinking nectar, while mom was making a fruit salad. Mom loved that blue jay. She said it was like a perfect version of life. That never made seance to me. Dad was laughing with Rosemary about something while I was giving Zap some music lessons by whistling some tunes . Mom had just finished cutting the watermelon when we heard Shiva our neighbors cat hissing. She was always escaping and causing trouble. Mom asked if I could take care of her. So I got up and closed the cage, or so I thought. I come back to see a closed cage but Zap was missing.

It was a Sunday night, family night for the Greens. They were playing a board game when it happened. At exactly 11:11 pm; a time for wishes, a sixteen year old girl wished for true love one day. At that exact moment her window smashed and something flew into her room. It was a flock of them; they attracted the house and only took one thing: the girl. She remembers it clearly, the way she screamed scared out of her mind. The way it grabbed her waist and took off. She remembers screaming for help but no one came to her rescue. Oh how she wishes that she left her safety knife in her room. Then they would be safe. Her family! She just hopes they were fine, but the conclusion that she was taken says that her family would be back to normal soon. She sighs and thinks over her life. From a little kid she was always the loner. But her family loved her to death. It all changed when she turned ten. The world was changing. She remembers the exact day at the exact time. Her birthday; she calls it the hell day. Something bad always happens on her birthday and that year was the worst so far. On February 20/2020 at exactly 2:20 On the news they had let out the horrible announcement. Scientist's experiments had gone wrong. They call them the "Stone Devils". They were escaping from the labs and into our world. Made of stone and all male. Winged creatures that come into the night. Steal and kill their prey. That's what she heard but she didn't believe it until a few nights ago. (kinda like the movie Warm Bodies)

"Wow Ashley our house is huge!" I said as we pulled up to are new home in California. "I'm so happy to be back in the place where we grew up." Ashley commented. A bunch of memories ran through my mind. Rydel, Ross, Riker, Rocky, Ratliff, and obviously Ashley were in every flash back. I remember specifically the time when Rocky fell into his pool and pulled me in with him. Tears started coming to my face. "Cat, don't cry we're gonna track them down and they are gonna be happy to see us." "I know but they're famous now, they're not gonna want to be are friends anymore." She looked at me with a mad look in her eyes. I knew exactly what she was gonna say before she said it. "Cat, you know Rocky likes you, like really likes you and if it's meant to be you'll find each other again, okay?" I nodded, "Yeah, I guess your right." We finally got out of the car and grabbed most of our things then headed to the door. (MAJOR EDITING) I will be combining some chapters to make this story have less parts, and also I'll be tweaking a few scenes, but nothing that will change the stories plot. "Thanks Ally." I grabbed all the flowers then ran back to the car. I drove to the grave. I threw all my stuff into my bag. I grabbed the flowers and I pulled my bag over my shoulder and got out. I looked around and saw people young and old coming here to see their loved ones. I saw my families graves. Almost my whole family will be buried here. My grandpa always said it was sacred. I put the Cosmos on my dad's grave. The Daises on my grandmothers and the Roses on my grandpas. I talked and talked to them till I pull my pack of cigarettes out of my bag along with a lighter. The early morning sunlight was irritating me to open my eyes and as usual being lazy I was rubbing my eyes to adjust with bright sun rays. I was going through this imagination when she suddenly entered into my room saying "Jassy what were you...." She stopped speaking and stared beside me disbelief and panic written all over her face and she just became mum and I was not understanding what she was exactly looking at and I followed her gaze only to find the half covered Rian(childhood friend of mine) sleeping peacefully with his mouth slightly open and I immediately got up from my bed only to get the another deadliest shock of my life and that is I am barely having any clothes and my mom looked at me and started calling dad "Mike... where are you? What are you doing? Come her soon" and while calling her tears escaped from her eyes and I too couldn't control my tears as I was unsure what I was seeing in front of me. As soon as my dad entered the room he was speechless to witness the scene in front of him. All this while I went to my wardrobe with my blurred vision due to tears and removed an oversized t-shirt and wore it only thinking that someone would come to my rescue to wake me up from this scary dream.
