We got to the living room and Gavin came out of the kitchen with a beer, that he took huge sips out of and looked at us. I watched him look at me up and down, and up and down again. And then at Nate, same thing. My heart swelled with the sight of him. But yet...my heart sunk heavy in my chest at what I had to tell him soon.
