2 years following the covid-19 lockdown, 16 year old Isabel De La Cruz feels fumbled and overwhelmed about school re-opening again. Sure, she might be attending Hollywood Performing Arts High, which is a dream come true, but daily encounters with her ex, Harry Goldwyn, is what she loathes about the situation. He's already let her down twice and she's not willing to hurt again, all for the name of love. For Harry, what once felt like home sweet home, now feels like foreign land, with the occasional hint of deja vu. He only moved back from New York in hopes of winning Isabel's heart back. What will it take for Isabel to act less harsh towards the dumbfounded boy and finally forgive him for all his wrongs he never meant to make in the first place? Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. "I'll leave you alone." His words filled the tormenting silence, "After tonight you won't have to see me again, only in class and that's it." My heart ached at his words, why? This should be a good thing, I wouldn't have to deal with Alejandro Rodriguez ever again. So why... Why does the thought of him not being around hurt. I stopped playing with my food and slowly lifted my head to look at him. He stared straight into my watery eyes. His face filled with regret and concern.
