The alarm clock blaring is the only way I know it's 8 o'clock in the morning. I feel for the switch and pull, silencing the noise. Someone is walking down the hall. As they get closer to my room, I shrink into my covers in fear. With the dipping of the bed, soft hands warm my cold cheeks. "Emily, it's me sweety. Aunt Carol,"my heart calms as she speaks. Tears drop onto her hands I'm sure, but I can't see them.Together, we rise from the comfort of my bed. I'm led to the kitchen where Aunt Carol has fixed breakfast. It is the usual breakfast shake with fruit to my immediate left. I sip my shake slowly. No one talks. There isn't much to say. Finally, I down the shake. Today I'm too full for anything else, so I decide to go outside already. I only make it a few steps before I trip over something and drop my empty cup. I flounder around for it until Aunt Carol hurries to my side and stops me. She holds me, and I breath in her light perfume as sobs escape me. The same kind mother wore.

***COMPLETED*** When we both caught our breath, he pulled me down and kissed me. He let go of my wrist and wrapped his arms around my waist. He opened his mouth and I did the same. All of a sudden, he rolled over and pinned me beneath him. I wrapped my arms around his neck. I felt one of his hands at my waist start to move under my shirt. I kissed him harder giving him permission to keep going. I wasn't thinking at all by this point. Just feeling. I wanted him to touch me everywhere. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Emily was used to playing it safe. Could a chance encounter with the wrong kind of guy change everything? Would it lead to love or heartbreak? And would she be able to let go of the unrequited feelings she had for the the boy who only thought of her as a friend.
