In the year 2162, vampires took over the world. The lucky humans, which were not a big group, were able to get away and go into hiding. But most were not so lucky. The man were put to work, also forced to be blood slaves. The woman would either be found as a vampires mate or would be sold off to be a vampires pet. 

Flash forward to year 2387, more than two hundred years later. Avery Williams is in hiding for her whole seventeen years with her family and the other humans that were not taken. Avery is daring and not afraid of the evil bloodsuckers that took over what used to be a human world. But one day when Avery goes to collect food she is caught by the vampires and taken to their king, Alexander Dunne. Alexander is coldhearted, and has been waiting for his queen for many years. 

What will Alexander do when his beloved rebels from him, constantly denying him and trying to escaped?
