When Charlie Rose was seven years old, her parents and brother were murdered. For years she dreamed of finding the man who murdered them and getting revenge. And for years - ten to be exact - she searched for this man, meanwhile getting herself prepped for killing him.
Then one day, ten years of searching in the south, she finally finds him. He's the mayor of some small town in Texas. Charlie disguises herself as a man, to be taken more seriously, and slowly gains this man's trust.
