Ariel is a fourteen-year-old softball player starting high school in a week.

Damian is a fourteen-year-old popular guy starting at the DWMA in a week.

When Ariel finds out that her dream of attending the academy is coming true, she's really excited.

When Damian is bombarded by a wave of female meisters, all begging to be his partner, he's not so excited.

And this is where their paths collide.

Ariel isn't one to fall for a guy because of his looks. Damian, however, has never had a girl ignore his charm the way Ariel does until now.

Later, Ariel wonders how the hell they are compatible partners. She also wonders how they'll be able to beat an evil trio of witches, when nobody else can.
