Katniss Everdeen thinks she's an outcast. She's bullied by the richer kids in the higher social status. Her mother is remarried and doesn't care about Katniss at all. She feels like she hates her life. The only thing she has to live for is her sister Primrose and best friends Annie Cresta, Clove Sevina and Madge Undersee. Her life takes a turn when she's forced to spend Christmas with an old friend. 
What will happen to Katniss life? Will her mother ever start to care about her?

In what used to be North America, the proud country of Panem now stands. The rulers from the Capitol hold a televised survival competition in which one male and one female between the ages of twelve and eighteen are reaped to fight to to death in an arena designed to be as deadly as the tributes, themselves. This game is forever known as The Hunger Games. Peeta Mellark, District Twelve's Baker's son, has been, madly in love with his companion, Katniss Everdeen, since the small age of five. Ever since tragedy gave him enough courage to ask for her hand, the unspeakable happens. Katniss's little sister, Primrose, is reaped for the death sentence. Peeta watches helplessly as his lover volunteers to take her place in the Games. Soon after, Peeta is reaped himself. He knows that only one will come out alive: someone smart, determined, and strong enough. And it would be his love. It had to be. This is my verson of The Hunger Games, originally writen by Suzanne Collins.
