Emily Moran is a 20 year old shy girl with big dreams. She has a passion for art but also has a special way with words. She lives in a small town in Missouri where she has lived her whole life with her family until they moved to California. Her brother, Trevor Moran, is part of a widely known Youtube group named O2L which was decided to end on good terms so each of the guys could continue on and start new things. She doesn't know much about them and the reason she even knew they existed was because of Trevor. She didn't really watch youtubers nor use social media much. Emily finds out she has been accepted into her dream college, in California. Now, she was going to be living so much closer to Trevor and her parents which made her happy. However, she was upset to be leaving her best friend, James, behind. Emily finally feels like she has her life somewhat put together until she is introduced to the rest of the boys of o2l.
