Greetings all!! And welcome to the blindside. Have you ever wondered what it's like to live in a sightless world? If you have? , or if you're just curious then don't hesitate to fire away. 

I got the idea to do this, thanks to my  friend Tristanbrt and his awesome advice column  on wattpad also do to an odd experience I had while walking in my hometown. It was then that I realized that when it comes to blindness there are a lot of things people don't know  for instance how to tell which side of your knife to Cut with, while keeping your fingers safely out of harms way. Also, how to cross the street when without assistance when you can't see the changing of the traffic light.

I will attempt to answer these  questions, and many more. The only thing you have to do is ask, and I shall attempt to explain

Nearly arrested several times, often lost (sometimes on purpose), and dealing with unconscious travellers, lost luggage, delayed connections and even a lorry load of spilled toilet rolls, travelling has given me a plethora of experiences. Combine that with a slightly neurodiverse approach to life in general, a dyslexic understanding of signage and whatever else life seems to throw at me I don't think I've ever had a dull trip. But one wonderful constant is people. There's usually someone around who will help the occasionally lost and confused, and I thank all of them for helping navigate me through many different countries and trips. Now, where was I? Ah yes. Slightly lost...

The only thing I knew as my ankles felt the wet, mourning hands of my heavy pain, beneath everything, a small part of me wanted to stay alive. There was a piece of my sore heart that yearned to remember what home felt like. I did not belong here in this darkness. If I didn't take this chance to learn who I was, who I could be, if I didn't choose to step forward, the haunting eyes chasing me I'd carry in my spine for the rest of my life. This answer, it's question lingered. Could I embrace what has hurt me most and let go of my hatred? The woman on fire, she was so beautiful in my unyielding stare. The sheer panic in my eyes swallowed by contorting rings of liquified gold. My answer? Yes. I was going home.

As I stare at myself in the mirror, I don't even recognize the reflection. I'm a married woman, and I can't get over that. I'm only wearing red lace underwear at the moment.
