Haunted: Book One

~ ~ ~

Watching a lifeless body get carried out of your family's tool shed would be hard for anyone to watch, but it becomes even more difficult when the body is your own.

For Amelia Morgan, life was as good as it could get. She loved the town she lived in along with the people that inhabited it. She and her family were as close as could be and she couldn't have been happier.

That is, until she woke up in her backyard to find out that someone had killed her.

With no evidence left behind at the scene, no leading suspects, and no memory of the crime, Amelia struggles to gather information from beyond the grave to help her family find the person who took her life.

Merry Sister Mary and the One and Only Killer, écrit par Jules_Haigler
36 chapitres Terminé
🏆Wattys 2019 Winner for Mystery & Thriller🏆 Sister Mary has lost her way, or so people think. Kicked out of her convent and sent away to be reformed, this jolly nun discovers her gift of glee is perfect for solving murders and the occasional naughty peek. ________________________________________ Merry Sister Mary is the world's most happy-go-lucky nun, and where the nuns are concerned, possibly the worst. She has none of the qualities reserved for a traditional lady of the cloth: a fear of water, an odd relationship with an umbrella, and no talent in teaching or nursing, yet Sister Mary believes she has a special God given power, laughter. Such a belief has led her to be kicked out of her convent in Chicago for accidentally flashing a group of churchgoers and deemed in desperate need of reform. She is sent on a bus to a stricter convent in New Orleans, Louisiana, but in a drama fueled twist, God has different plans for the joyous nun. She is to solve a murder. After missing the bus Sister Mary is forced to seek refuge with a Catholic family in the small town of St. Francisville. A horrific murder occurs sending the town into a frenzy of bittersweet joy. The person killed has long been despised and so named the Stanton Witch for the mystery surrounding her husband's death and the decades of misfortune since her arrival. In an effort to expose the truth, Sister Mary finds herself in the middle of one family's terrible and insidious secret. As the bodies pile up she uses her gift of glee to uncover the clues missed by the police and hopefully stop the killer from claiming another innocent victim. Her goal-- prove to the world once and for all that one does not need to be traditional to make a difference. The Tether : Tale of a Restless Soul, écrit par ChristyM01
11 chapitres En cours d'écriture Contenu pour adultes
Amanda Fulwood has always felt out of place. Since she can remember, she was never capable of distinguishing the real from the fake, her mind constantly questioning whether she lived what she remembered or if it was just an outstanding dream. There's always this voice in her head, this coldness so sudden whenever she comes back to it. As bone-chilling as the air in a morgue, the feeling never fails to keep her up at night. It only got worse over the years, her visions turning more and more vivid, constantly wandering further away from this realm every time. Living in a small town has its perks, especially when you're the mayor's daughter, but it also comes with a handful of disadvantages. Her reputation as the local nut-job precedes her, and when she's found naked on the school football field, it only furthers their assumptions. Once caged and once freed, Amanda still struggles with the reality she is to face, one where just maybe, she really is insane. Or maybe, her mind is the keeper of something darker, sinister even. For the small town of Milton Oaks, crime is a non existent hassle. So when Amanda's memories seem to correlate with the events of the darkest nights in town history, she's left with a mystery on her hands. One that holds all the explanations she craved, for all the years plagued by those thoughts. But going down that route is a path of no return. Once Pandora's box has been opened, there's no closing it back. Among all the questions Amanda has, the only one that is hers to answer is, "Can she handle it?" Read the book and find out😉
