Lenore Vernaza is a seventeen-year-old high school student who also happens to be a history buff. From the Rapa Nui, to the Minoans, to the Olmecs, she is especially interested in the exploration of long-lost civilizations, a passion strongly encouraged by her beloved grandmother, who is a little too knowledgeable about their family lore. Lenore's life takes a sharp turn when she discovers that she and her maternal family are one of the last living descendants of a civilization that was thought to have been wiped out by an enemy population. Unfortunately, said enemy civilization also had livin descendants who seek to finish what their ancestors had started. Now Lenore and her family must run for their lives, and figure out how to survive with ancient enemies on their toes, while also uncovering some unfortunate truths along the way.
