Lenore Vernaza is a seventeen-year-old high school student who also happens to be a history buff. From the Rapa Nui, to the Minoans, to the Olmecs, she is especially interested in the exploration of long-lost civilizations, a passion strongly encouraged by her beloved grandmother, who is a little too knowledgeable about their family lore.

Lenore's life takes a sharp turn when she discovers that she and her maternal family are one of the last living descendants of a civilization that was thought to have been wiped out by an enemy population. Unfortunately, said enemy civilization also had livin descendants who seek to finish what their ancestors had started.

Now Lenore and her family must run for their lives, and figure out how to survive with ancient enemies on their toes, while also uncovering some unfortunate truths along the way.

This time, I can't help but flinch as he touches me and pulls the other strap down .. baring my other shoulder to his eyes. "Anthony .. you can't say those things. We .. we're supposed to be best friends." As I try to reason with him, he begins to kiss my shoulder .. making the words come out so much more weaker than intended. Anthony stays quiet after what I say, or rather he ignores me, instead using his other hand to play with the skin on my stomach exposed from the top. "I know .." He trails off. I hold my breath, anxious as I wait to hear what he's going to say next. "But I genuinely don't know if that's enough for me anymore .." Anthony moves my hair to side, and the words he speaks are paired with a slow kiss to the nape of my neck. Beatrix thought she'd never trust another guy again. What is life? What is the point in participating in life? When Renae "Rae" starts asking herself these questions, her life is at its lowest. Raised in a city in Wyoming, by a mother who resents her, she didn't understand what life had to offer. After dealing with the loss of her one friend, she loses herself in every aspect. Almost to the point of no return, her uncle steps in to make her life better or what he believes to be better. In a new place, she's forced to deal with ghosts she never knew she had. She's overwhelmed in the ideology that vampires and wolves were real, let alone that she was one. She's been desperate to be loved her entire life, so the second she sees a chance, she grabs and runs with it, even if it wasn't the love that she was supposed to have. Till her first love comes and sets her straight. Handling school, her new responsibilities, and new family dynamic, she needs to learn to reconnect with herself on a deeper level. Once she finds herself in the best position possible, she finds she's one of five souls that need to save humanity. Will they be able to do it? Or will they be able to come home and have a life they dreamed of. Reconnect is a story based on fantasy and mental ecstasy. A novice ideological put forth into what happened to all the mythology of the world and why it dispersed with no trace to be found. The first of its series to finish an age-old question, what happened to mythology?
