In 2015 two people broke into a scientists lab, who at the time was working on a virus as a way of revenge for the killing of his family. The two criminals get into a fight about who should get what, they break a vial containing the virus. As police arrived on the scene, they attack the officers and the virus spread. In a few towns over, a band/fiction obsessed teenage boy and an extrovert girl are trying to find their parents/mom and brother who were abducted, while not knowing about the oncoming Apocalypse.
