Inspired by Romance Challenge 13: Writing Prompt Contest Winner. "Write about a love formed in the dark. Literal or figurative." by @lifeasregret. (This was supposed to be a oneshot story but I broke it up into a few parts for easier reading.)
Leslie has had the biggest crush on Chris since forever. But when one of her best friends, Sofia, dares her to ask him out on a date, Leslie is forced to confess her love for Chris. Will Leslie like what she discovers on the night of her first date? Or will she just be rejected and forever heartbroken?

"That you hate me, tell me that you hate me." "I hate you," I tell him almost instantly, the lie burning on my tongue. He kisses me harder and more hungrily, and the words slip out again from my tongue: "I hate you. I hate you. I hate you." His murmurs deepen into groans, and at this exact moment, I ask myself how I'm still standing, still breathing, still present. ~~~~~~Complete
