This first poem of the book describes this ongoing work of art perfectly. Just like you and everyone else I'm just trying to get through the chaos my mind brews up. From emotions to events that are going on in my life writing it down has always been my go to on how to just get off my chest and off of my mind. incomprehensible thoughts
(i had to update the description it was so cringe) poetry. its like the definition of wearing your heart on your sleeve, except its writing it on your fingertips and breathing it in and out. this is a collection of poems i've written, earliest being from 2020 and then just updating whenever i write something ! the first like 10-15, possibly 20 are bad but once you go on it gets better, once you reach mid-2022 youre good and then 2023 onward youre awesomesauce (once i stopped capitalizing titles i got better just 90% go off of that) highest rankings: #1 in poems (November 10th, 2021) #14 in poetry (April 28th, 2022)
The Words I couldn't Say
This is a place for me to put all the things I wish I said but I just couldn't. These are a way for me to "say" these things without actually saying them to the person I want to. I probably won't ever go back or read any of these because it's like revisiting a bad memory so don't expect much in terms of editing. Also I wouldn't consider this poetry but it is laid out that way. WARNING Talk of depression, suicide, anxiety, and self harm. Don't read if you don't like things like that and may get triggered. I don't mean to cause anyone problems of any sort, but these are the things I feel and can't help. Please keep negativity away as this is a sensitive subject for a lot of people. Thank you. ❝In my mind, there is pain. I am exhausted. I feel defeat from my hair tips to my feet- my body feels the stress weighing down on my shoulders. I try and try every day, but nothing seems to go my way. In my mind, there is pain, yet I try because one day, I will feel great. This is a collection of poems written as a way to control a person's feelings; originally they were never intended to be seen by human eyes. This is written from the point of view of someone who struggles with emotional turmoil but feels they cannot tell others about it because their afraid it might drag them into the same torture they feel everyday. Depression is a serious thing that plagues our world and this is one of many ways it can affect a person. Too many people act like this doesn't exist or its a style but its not its a serious issue people have become desensitized to. When this book was first published it climbed its way to #1 in depression, to my dismay I took it down hoping to find a publisher that would be willing to work with me (of course no progress has been made) ALL poems in this book have a trigger warning but if there is *** in the title than its a suggestion and an extra precaution to not read it if you are at risk of becoming triggered. TRIGGER WARNING!!!! FOR ANYONE WHO DEALS WITH DEPRESION OR HAS DEALT WITH IT!!! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! There is cursing in some parts of this!!!! Cutting open my heart to pour out how I feel. It comes down in floods of blood as words scatter on the floor in a jumbled mess or a pathetic attempt to explain my feelings. The Light in the Dark (Completed)
Cover made by the amazing @mikeyspizzadope (go check them out they're cool) It's 3 A.M., and you can't sleep. Your heart feels like it might burst out of your chest. Your ears are ringing, echoing in your brain, and everything hurts so badly. Your vision is going blurry as you try to fight back the tears, and you're wondering why you even try anymore. At one point or another, most of us have experienced the feeling of worthlessness, shame, or guilt. We feel like we're at rock bottom, and it seems like nothing will ever get any better no matter how hard we try. One thing we do know for sure, though, is that where there is dark, there is bound to be light, no matter how small that speck may be. There's always hope, no matter how far out of reach it may seem. There's always light in the dark. TW/CW: mentions of anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts. "I know that even when things seem dark and at rock bottom, there's always hope. I hope for this to become a place of comfort for anyone who needs it. Poetry is a beautiful way to put whatever's on one's mind into words, especially for someone like me who's not so great at expressing so upfront. I want this to a place where we can all find instances of clarity knowing we all think, feel, and experience the same, maybe not exactly the same but somewhat.
