Pierce Blackwood is not your normal teenage girl. She has a gift. A special one. She knows she's not the only one who posses it but she has yet to find the others that do. Raised in a cottage like home with her mother and father on the edge of a small town. Her father working almost 24/7 as a mechanic to make ends meet while her mother is usually out buying groceries or home waiting for her daughter to get home. A father who bites off more than he can chew and a mother who yearns to get back to city life. But she can't. She will never be able to again. All because of her daughter. All because of the gift that has shaped the path that Pierce and her family will go through in life. Pierce thought she could handle it. She thought that with the right efforts, she could keep both her family and her secret safe. But she was wrong. She was so, so wrong. One slip up. That's all it took. One wrong word. And now she has to pay the price. It didn't seem like too bad a price at first, all things considered. But that too was eventually going to change. Looks can be deceiving.
