Sixteen-year-old Jonathan Garris was sketching in the park one afternoon when suddenly approached and attacked by a phantom, a creature who lives only to make humans suffer. That's when he's saved by Adeline, a half angel half demon half-breed with a twin brother named Edric who seems to hate Jon's guts. After meeting them he discovers his best friend Maddie Abel is being targeted for her blood, which is described by Adeline as "cursed blood." Will Jon be able to protect his best friend or will she be another victim of the Innerworld? A magical yet cruel world full of demons and phantoms. To make things even worse, he meets Silas, a cold man to describes himself to be an "experiment" and keeps invading his dreams and thoughts, slowly making him more and more fearful of his new friends.
