Lucidity

Beatrix is the child every parent fears to love. Violence follows her from the age of five and her inability to control what happens to her when she falls asleep leads to a splitting of ways that alters the lives of her family forever.

As she causes more harm to those around her, she is forced to fight not just those controlling her life, but those that control her body when her mind is dreaming.

She finds herself in a psychiatric ward for an incident she has no memory of; her only possessions belong in the red suitcase she came with. She learns how to survive in a world that has abandoned her despite her lonely past, but as she grows older, leaving her lost childhood behind she struggles to let go of her black and white thinking leading her into the murky waters of not knowing what is right and wrong anymore.

However, something darker is on the horizon and as her control starts to slip further away from her, she is pulled into a reality that she wishes wasn’t possible.

Beatrix wants answers, she wants freedom.
But most of all, she desires some lucidity from the people who left her behind.
