I can see, I can feel, I can even smell but I canno t- no matter how hard I seem to try - hear. I can't hear the voices of the ones I love, my phone ringing is a sound my ears refuse and I stay afraid that one day someone will use my deafness to their advantage. My ability to hear may be gone, but my ability to love and care stays with me forever.
