It's 2013 and 9-year-old Flora Michigan has no idea of her surname past. She only knows her mother, Diane, her sister, Fiona who died from a disease called leukemia, her runaway father, old and grumpy Mr. Bimb and spoiled brat, Jewel and her posse. Flora has never seen a rose before and yearns to find one, hearing of its beauty and richness. But that won't happen soon. It's 2013 - no rose. 2014 - she's ten yet still no rose. 2015 - she's 11. No rose.
