Considering the fact that Artemis couldn't contact Michael and Thomas announced that they weren't really cousins. The bad thing was that her mother had to work in America and bring her along with Thomas.

She tries to get used to American lifestyle and finally had the chance to get a new life, putting Michael behind.

Until the school dance comes up, Michael appeared and enrolled in her school and tries to get her back to love him. Artemis declares that they need to see other people and decide whether they are meant for each other.

If she doesn't love him again after the school dance, it would be officially over.
