I'm writing this for good reasons. People need to know my story. They need to know the pain, the heartbreak, and the hardships I went through. Basically, this is a survival guide. But not just any survival guide; this is a survival guide to the Hunger Games. They pretend I don't exist, I'm an embarrassment. Well, they're wrong. I'm here. And they can't erase the pain I went through.

When you see this, I'll most likely be dead.

Sixteen-Year-Old Rose Windlet knows her life changes forever when the 10th annual Hunger Games reaping for District 12 begins. Her name is the one single name drawn from the ladies bowl. Soon after, her best friend, Eric Hillside volunteers as the male tribute. What will happen? Who will come out of the arena? There's 24 tributes. Only one comes out...

When Kira Blackwood's name is reaped, she knows she's screwed. How is she supposed to survive in a fight to death with twenty-three other tributes, all of whom want to get out alive as much as she does? Not to mention, the thought of killing somebody twists her stomach into all sorts of unnatural shapes. Despite secretly training for the Games in the cow pastures surrounding her home, and being pretty handy with a knife, Kira's kind heart may be the thing that holds her back the most. However, as she navigates through the opulent world of the Capitol, and then the arena itself, Kira starts to realize that maybe, just maybe, it's not the dead she should pity, but the Victor. After all, no one ever really wins the Hunger Games. Survives, sure. But wins? Never. ~~+~~ Please Note: This is set in a world where the 2nd Rebellion failed. All usurpers were executed (except those pesky star-crossed lovers, who knows where they ran off to), District 13 was destroyed for good (but District 12 was rebuilt, on the basis that the Capitol realized that it actually really needed coal), and the Hunger Games were reinstated. Disclaimer: I don't own any of the rights to the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, or to the Lionsgate adaptation of her books. (Obviously.) All characters of my creation are copyrighted. ~~+~~ Thank you so much for reading this, it really means so much to me!!! :) I hope you enjoy, and love it as much as I do! (Also sorry for the length, I sort have this thing for details... and long, run-on sentences... and long, run-on sentences stuffed with details...) Please note: This story is technically incomplete, bc I still want to write a few more scenes after the Games like the interviews and stuff, maybe of the Victory Tour, but I've marked it as complete bc...junior year of high school. Ain't no way that I'm finishing this anytime soon. Hopefully over Christmas break I'll get back around to it.

In this Hunger Games fan fiction, we follow the story of Grace Frost, a 16-year-old girl from District 12 who was reaped for the 76th Hunger Games. Grace is not particularly skilled in hunting or combat, but she has a likable personality that makes her popular among her peers. Before leaving for the games, Grace asks Katniss, the winner of the 74th Hunger Games, to take care of her daughter, Faith Anderson, in case she does not make it back. Katniss agrees to the request, knowing all too well the pain of losing loved ones in the games. The 76th Hunger Games are unique in that they are taking place during a time of increasing rebellion against the Capitol. As the games progress, Grace realizes that she has become a symbol of hope for the people, much like Katniss did in the previous games. She uses her popularity and charm to win the support of other tributes and the Capitol audience. Meanwhile, Katniss and other rebels are working behind the scenes to support Grace and use her as a symbol to rally more people to their cause. They know that the Capitol will do everything in their power to prevent a repeat of the 74th games, where a tribute from District 12 emerged victorious. As the games come to a close, Grace finds herself facing off against another tribute from District 12, a tribute who has been trained specifically to take her down. It's a tense and brutal battle, but in the end, Grace manages to emerge victorious, becoming the first tribute from District 12 to win the Hunger Games twice. However, the victory is bittersweet, as Grace is haunted by the deaths of her father and James Anderson, the father of her daughter, and she knows that the Capitol will not take her defiance lightly. With the help of Katniss and other rebels, Grace begins to plan her next moves, knowing that the fate of her daughter and the entire district is at stake.

I smelt something calming, like the smell of rain and vanilla and suddenly, a guy came in charging at Gabriel. Gabriel didn't have any time to react as he was knocked to the ground. I stared at them in shock as I backed away, not knowing what to do. " Leave him alone! " I yell at the stranger throwing my hands in the air. This gets the guys attention and I notice the aura around him, telling me he's an Alpha. He starts stalking towards me as Gabriel struggled to get up, " Run Reagan! " I ran into a wall behind me causing me to fall and put my hand on my head in pain. I felt tingles on my arm as a hand was placed on my arm. I noticed it was the stranger as he made me face towards him. He crouched down at eye level as he stared into my ocean blue eyes with his sincere chocolate brown eyes. My eyes widened when he said the word that I've been dying to hear since I was a little girl. " Mate. " Reagan's been dreaming of finding her mate since she learned about them. Her twin brother found his a few weeks ago and Reagan's been dying to find her equal. What happens when she find out her mates the cold hearted Alpha that she's been told cruel stories about. The games had been happening for years. Players were teleported into an arena and forced to fight to the death while people all around the world watched. At first, they thought they would respawn, like they had when they had played Survival Games in different hubs. But this hub was different. They soon realized that this was no game. Skyler never thought that she would be the one picked for the games. Of course, nobody thinks that they're going to be the one. But that's never the case. Each year, a boy and a girl from each district are going to be sent to their death. It's rare that a tribute from District 10 actually comes out alive, which is why Skyler isn't hopeful. That's when she meets Mitch, from District 11, and Jerome, from District 7. They teach her things about survival and fighting that she never knew before, and they stay with her as her allies throughout the entire game. They fight together, they protect each other, and they care about each other. The crushing truth, however, is that only one tribute can win. Sacrifices will be made and tears will be shed in a place where even the strongest friendship can't keep you alive. So what will happen to this dynamic trio? "Nobody ever wins the games. Period. There are survivors. There's no winners." -Haymitch Abernathy, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Inspired by The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
