According to legend, kelpies are aquatic horses. They wander along the riverbank and trick humans into riding them. After giving the unfortunate mortal a terrifying ride, the kelpie will drown them in the river and eat them. Alicia Deltroy is one of these aquatic horses, but she's different from other kelpies. She's managed to lead a normal life that begins to fall apart after her parents are brutally murdered. However, when four gorgeous boys come to school, they begin to break down the barriers she's set around her heart since the death of her parents. Only one problem: The boys are hunters, elite humans who track down and kill dangerous magical creatures.
