I wrote this for Spanish class a few days ago and thought I'd post it. It's about my favorite place on earth, Camp Bird Youth Center near Crivitz, WI. I've been going there for Sand Lake Conservation Camp for the past 5 years and plan on going as long as they have the camp running. I'm now a counselor but not so many years ago I was a camper and each year I have the time of my life. The friendships get stronger, the memories get longer, and I look forward to it more and more each coming year. To the memories! And thank you for taking the time to read this.

Probably the most memorable trip of my life wasn't with my family. It was with my friends and teachers (albeit they were sort of like a family in a few ways). In early 2016 I traveled to Fairview Lake in Northern New Jersey for three nights, making that four days away from home. It was mainly educational, but also about fun. It was the first time I went out on a three-night trip alone without my parents. A Surprise for your Anniversary
This is a story that I wrote as a gift for a special someone so she could imagine how our anniversary would have been since we couldn't be together for me to actually do this because of the distance. Its not the same as real life, but like memories, its now here forever so she and others can come back to read it and remember. Who knows, maybe this story will give someone else a few ideas that they can surprise their love and therefore help this story find reality and life in one way or another until I can breath it life. This story is written in a narrative first person style so it will read as if it is playing out in your mind as it is happening. The story is set in Jacksonville North Carolina which hosts Camp Lejuene, home of the 2nd U.S. Marine Division. The first few chapters are pretty clean, but the later ones are NSFW and actually are pretty graphic. Chalk it up to a little sexual tension between us at the time. When Jade ended up with something life changing, she thought everything was over for her. And maybe it was. Someone can light a small flame of hope in everyone of us.
