As a writer, it's part of my job to observe the world, and then dissect elements from it so I can reconstruct them into a story. By doing this, I've observed a lot, and sometimes it can be a bit much to take in without letting some out.

So, I've come to the point where I would like to discuss these things. This includes some uncomfortable topics, as well as a spectrum of other thoughts that cross my mind.

I believe that artists have a duty in society to help people see the world outside of themselves by altering their perceptions in an entertaining way. We play with fictional worlds that reflect our own, and it's much easier to see an objective outlook when emotions aren't so closely tied by personal bias. This is how art changes perception.

In this series, I will be taking a more direct approach, letting you hear my raw, unhinged thoughts; adding clarity to some concepts that I would normally use in a novel (and still might). I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you feel compelled to discuss these issues with me in the comments.

Although I never know what I may tackle next, here is some of what to expect in this series:

I will sometimes (but rarely) speak about Religion. I am an atheist and a skeptic, and don't think any idea is free from critique. We can all learn new things by deconstructing certain ideas to see if they actually fit with the world we live in, whether it be from Religion, politics, the judicial system, or otherwise.

I'll discuss my philosophies on life and human perception, along with other opinions on human psychology and humanity as a whole.

Along with those, I will also be discussing scientific topics from time to time.

I may go over just about anything, so be ready for that. My interests are always expanding.

If you have any concept you would like me to cover in this series, let me know in the comments. I'm happy to discuss any topic, and my comfort zone stretches quite far.

Surprise me.
