I saw this cover picture and was listening to 'thinking out loud' by Ed Sheeran and this just came to me so I had to write it. I finished this at 3 in the morning so please be gentle.

Merlin casts the the most powerful spell in the history of magic to save Arthur. It leaves him in a slump suffering the side-effects. Merlin is plagued with nightmares, hallucinations, and more. Will they be able to help their friend Merlin? Or will Merlin hide the extent of his pain and drown as a result? This story is specifically for fans of the Merlin TV show. We pick up right at the last episode of the show however I made a few changes...This work is my own with the addition of a completely new story line that just continues that heart-felt and silly world from the show that we all love. This story is about love and the struggles that we must overcome in the name of it. A lot of Merthur, but I keep it pretty pg-13 so don't expect a lot of smut.
