What really happens when we die? Are Heaven and Hell real? Are God, angels, and the Devil real, or are they characters we've made up to feel like we can understand the unknown? Travel on one man's journey as he tries to uncover life's greatest mystery, death.

This is a short series I wrote for my creative writing class. The challenge is to write three stories using one semi-central setting, different variable in each story, and each one must be less than a thousand words.
These are the story requirements:
Story 1: A character with an accent
Story 2: 3 unique characters
Story 3: Tying everything together in the end
I hope you can find all of my symbolism! Kudos to those who can!
P.S. I just saw that this is a pre-edited version of the writing, so there are some weird typos in there. The story doesn't change too much though, so please bear with the mistakes ^_~

RULE 1: Never let anyone under estimate the power of your dreams. RULE 2: Always follow rule one. These were the only principles little Ria lived by. Her devoting and protective nature always came out as harsh and bitch-y. Everytime she felt threatened, her claws came out, ready to defend...to destroy. It's only you who knows the value of your dreams. So, what will she do when her exterminator walks into her life, ready to ruin everything she lives for. She fight's. A fight between two souls. ________________________________ "Who do you think you are?" she asked, bravery seeping through every syllable leaving her mouth. A devil carves fear, and when you don't give him that, he is agitated. "Your nightmare baby." he smirked as he leaned closer to her. They say never look into his eyes...he is evil. Don't cross paths with him...he is unforgiving. Never challenge him...he is destructive. But what did she do??? Every damn thing she wasn't supposed to! Add a punch to the already shaky equation and you'll find yourself amidst drama...teenage drama. Is it right to let these two souls collide? When an ego is hurt, revenge is born. They roam around Earth every few centuries and destroy what mankind works hard for.
