Every year the four teens of the small Institute in Tallahassee help out the Enclave and exhausted Shadowhunters by going on a "field trip" to one of the most demon-infested places for several thousand miles around. It was supposed to be normal. Sit in a hotel, track down demons, eat, sleep, maybe even do a little paddle boarding, and sleep some more for the next three weeks. But unfortunately this year is different. And it started with a boy who's bloodline was supposed to be dead thirty years ago.
