Mackenzie Klide, known affectionately as Kenzie by everyone she knows in New York, has lived in the city of Manhattan for her entire life. She's popular, phone-obsessed and on the quirky side of cocky. She has everything going for her, and she knows it. That is, until her dad decides to move her and her family to Kernville, Louisiana, as part of his business expansion. Now she's hating every aspect of her life, from her house, to the lack of entertainment, and the, at times, unattainable phone service. And especially her new nickname, Mack.
That's when she meets the Tanner family. She's practically forced to spend time with them, even though two of their sons already hate her and the third inevitably will.
