Julia Volkov is the timid, nervous, lost and quiet new student at Allen Court High School. Her parents being close friends with Mr. Jackson, same man as the Principal of this school, she was invited to enroll. It's the first time she's out of country, not to mention out of continent. Afraid of a new culture where people are bullying her because of her apparent soft personality, she has to put up with all kinds of emotions threatening to make her give up. Mr. Jackson, being the kind and caring Principal he is, notices the girl's situation and comes up wiht a brilliant plan to help her out.
Edmond Jackson is the school's creep. He's got that long black hair covering the glasses that keep his eyes completely out of reach, he's got black baggy clothes and all he seems to do is listen to loud music booming in his headphones or study alone in a corner. He doesn't talk to anybody, although other people find it amusing to make fun of him. What they don't know is that he has a double personality and the moment he's out of school, he becomes a bold, flirty party animal. But all his plans to take on his own path go to waste when his dad, the Principal, decides to force him into being Julia's personal guide for a whole year.
Will the European girl manage to creep inside his odd world? Will he help her come out of her shell when he cares so much of his own image staying hidden? Will the two of them develop a friendship, or will it be a continuous fight between them?
And finally, could the two of them discover the feeling they probably didn't even believe in?
Fallon's sole ambition in life is to escape her miserable hometown once and for all. She dreams of driving away in her convertible and leaving her painful past behind.
Just one problem, her beloved convertible needs a serious overhaul before she can drive it anywhere, and car repairs cost money, a lot of money. The kind of money she doesn't have.
Archer Hastings moved to town last year. He's quiet, perpetually brooding, and always has a hood drawn over his head. He's the school outcast, a recluse. He also has a knack for resurrecting hopeless vehicles.
There's just one catch - he adamantly refuses to help Fallon with hers.
However, the gears of fate start turning when Fallon discovers Archer's hidden weakness. He's in love with their head cheerleader, Caroline Williams. But Fallon has a secret too, and her little secret just might help Archer get out of his whole unrequited love situation.
So Archer and Fallon make a pact. He fixes her convertible for her, and she helps him win over Caroline.
Easy, right?
Except, as Fallon spends time with Archer, she begins to see a side of him that defies his mysterious facade. There's a warmth beneath his quiet demeanor, an intensity in his gaze that sparks something unexpected within her.
Now she just needs to make sure she gets her car fixed without getting her heart broken.
