As I opened my eyes I suddenly began to realize that there were unknown men in my bedroom. Some of the men wore long black coats with badges around their neck and others were wearing police uniforms. "What the heck is going on?" I asked with a slightly nervous undertone. But nobody would response. "Go away." I said agitated while I slowly got up. Again no response. Was this some kind of sick joke? letting strange men in MY bedroom. Well... they weren't totally strange. I recognize some of the policemen. They work with my father. He is the captain of our police department. But still.. why are they in my bedroom?   " Get out of my room!" I yelled while pointing my finger to the door. Again no response. I scoffed. "This isn't funny. You guys are sick. If this is my fathers idea of making a joke I'm going to be so pissed. " 

As I stood up I noticed a huge blood stain surrounded with small puddles of blood. Further down the room were a couple of shoe prints that were covered in blood. "Ooh great! You guys are letting this joke go too far. Who is going to clean up this mess?! It sure as hell ain't going to be me."  One of the men of the police department stood right in front of me. He was wearing glasses. I looked at the reflection in his glasses. What I saw was my bed. I couldn't quite make out what it was that laid on my bed but it looked terrifying. Slowly I turned around and that's when I saw it...

This is a story about a girl named Lilith Waters. She is 18 years old and has been brutally murdered. 
Yet she is still present on earth. Left behind with only two things. Questions and more questions.

Antique store owner Liz brings home a Victorian taxidermy hound from auction, unwittingly unleashing dark forces on her wife and son. ***** Nat Loman has finally married the love of her life, Liz, and is getting used to her role as stepmother to Liz's 5-year-old son, Liam. The Loman family runs a bustling antique business so they attend a sale where a striking, black taxidermied hound is up for auction. Liz picks it up for the business, but it ends up being stored in their home, where Nat notices strange things occurring. She quickly discovers the past residents had died violently. Then she hears from a friend about the myth of "the devil's dog", a hound that perches in the shadows, tearing families apart from the inside. Soon, people around the Lomans are dying, and Liz is changing, darkening. It's up to Nat to save the woman she loves from the darkness closing in, and to save Liam from danger no matter what she has to sacrifice.
