"Let me out, beast!" I scream rattling the bars of the cage. "I'll kill you!" He laughs as he teases me, drawing closer to the cage smugly looking at me down at my level.
"Try pet" he smiles and laughs as I slashed again and finally scratched his face "tsk,tsk, bad move, pet" his eyes turn a blood red and shows off a wolfish grin showing it really was a bad move...

Because we weren't human, and we didn't live in the darkness, and so we were attacked from both sides, always having to look for an escape route. So I snapped, and instead of running towards the door like I knew I should have, I threw a punch that was supposed to land in his rib cage, hopefully breaking a few and causing enough internal damage that he would be down for a while. But that didn't happen, because once that punch was thrown my attacker grabbed my wrist and threw me against the wall and stabbed me with a stake that ripped right through my red skull kitty tank top and cut into the flesh that covered my heart.
