In the beginning, there was nothing.
And it was then, in midst of emptiness that God created the heavens and the Earth. All you see, all you don't see.
In seven days, everything down to the very last detail was finished. So, on the seventh day, God ended his work and rested, blessing and sanctifying the day.
No. To be more exact, that is simply what is mentioned in the only human record of the Days of Creation. To start with, there were never seven days.
There were eight.
Proud of his divine creation, on the eighth-day God concluded: "Let us make the end to everything and all." That was when, out of an emptiness of nothing, we were created. A male and a female blessed with senses far greater than any other, on the purpose to protect and watch over the human race.
And like that, we watched over Adam and Eve from far away yet closer than any other animal. Watched the capability of their love. Watched the fragility of their strength. Watched as their mortal temptation led to sin, and that same way, we pitied them as they were punished and cast out of the Garden of Eden.
And thus, we committed our greatest sin. Led by the belief in humanity, we interfered by defying God and because of that, judgment was set upon us too. To live forever. Never being able to bear children. To live like leeches of the blood of those we so much believed in.
Ari and Soren's adventures continue as Soren struggles with his new vampiric urges and a coven of witches attempts to recruit Ari for their own ends.
*****
As dark dreams plague Soren, Ari finds his new abilities difficult to control. Something is awakening within him, and as his power grows, he attracts the attention of a group of witches who call themselves the Hecataeon. They believe Ari is an emanation of the goddess Hecate - a physical manifestation of her power - and they want that power for themselves. With their relationship facing challenges from within, Ari and Soren must find a way to unite their strengths before external forces tear them apart.
