I entered this story into a science competition for school but I couldn't put it on Wattpad for you guys to read until I got it back. I was OK with my grade which was 8/10 which would probably be around an A- YAY!

Heather was only 7 years old when it happened. When her world was turned upside down and left Heather and her twin brother Alex alone on the streets without the love of their parents or care of their friends.
But they weren't alone.
An outbreak of 'Mad Cow Disease' has turned over half the human population into mindless zombies.
What will happen to the twins and how long will they last on the streets?
Will they survive living among 'the infected'?

This is a fan fiction based on the last of us game the time line of the story takes place at the end of the game and different location (sorta). I'm also going to do that thing that the game did with the seasons,the whole game is technically a year. If you watch game play you'll know what I'm talking about. This story may contain very similar events to the game (because I not the best with my own ideas) so I want give as much credit to naughty dog and the story developers of the game and the creators or artists of the covers of most of the story parts and maybe music, because I don't own them and to be honest the game itself gave me some ideas, and inspired me to make this story. oh I'm not sure if this is a good Idea but the characters in the story are me and my friends but only first names I don't wanna give out last names if that is too much and by the way not all of the characters are my friends I made a couple of them up. Just wanted to put my self in the action. I'll probably make a sequel to this story so hope you like it. This is sort of a mature audience type of story, but there is not going to that much romance...well there is actually, but don't expect it to be all that this story has to offer. Plus the cover might be a little off since Wattpad covers isn't working with me right for some reason. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. And on top of that, she had the zeds to deal with. Ghastly creatures that used to be human, carrying a virus that's spread through a constant hunger for flesh from the host, spreading through bites and scratches. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future.
