We no longer live in a world a where love is as simple as; boy meets girl or vise versa, get to know each other, fall in love and decide to have a life together. In the 21st century it's sometimes the exact opposite. Love is no longer cliche and the thought of fluffy, puppy love is almost non-existent. We now live in a world where warnings are never heeded and regrettable and stupid life choices are made as a result.
I used to think that if I have a family and a roof above my head,I have a good life.
I used to think that if I were to be myself, I will find real friends who won't force me to conform.
I used to think that everybody is good and no one deserves to be hated.
I used to think that life was simple and happily ever afters did exist.
But then everything slowly changed when I started school
and then reality hit me like an elephant's headbutt when I started high school.
I learned that there's more to life than having a mother, father and a place to live in.
I found myself slowly conforming to survive, being stereotyped.
I learned that there is evil in the world.
I was convinced that life is way more complex than I had hoped for it to be and, happily ever after may not be real.
But then again life has always been and always will be, uncertain. However, through all the crap that is thrown at me in life, the only person who can tell me that I can't find some sort of happiness is myself. I know it's cliche, but it must have meant something at some point for it to have become so overused, and it took a busty chick, a calm and loving Blondie and a hug-loving, party animal of a pervert walking in on a mock-haunted house set up in the dark for me to realize how amazing life could be.
