All That Glitters

“HELLO?” I answered the phone
“Detective Brianwood?” a female voice was there
“Yes”
“This is a warning call”
“What?”
“Today...5:30 pm, at starbucks café”
“What are you talking about?”
“a bomb blast”
“Wha…!?”
She hung up before I could say some thing

‘That must be a prank call’ I said to myself
I checked my wrist watch, it was 3:45 and I got back to those murder files.
‘If she wanted to bomb that place, why did she warn me? And why me? Nearest starbucks is not in my area’.
I checked my wrist again, it was 4:15.

4:25 pm: ‘if she wants to threaten us, then she shall the call police.’
4:30pm: ‘the security is so good at that place.’
4:35pm:”Hello, starbucks café, West Street?”.........”yah! This is a security check”...”This is detective brianwood, is everything is alright there?”...........”No”...”no”….”yup”… “everything is fine you don’t worry”…..”Yah okay.”
5pm: ‘Daaaaaaah…….that was a prank call.’
5:10pm: I opened the gate of starbucks, I scanned the whole place, everything seemed fine to me. I grabbed a table for me from where I could get a view of whole café. My eyes were constantly on the door.
5:25pm: I already had 3 cups of black tea. But no one showed up.
5:28pm: doorbell rang, this time it was a lady, she was wearing blue tailored skirt and white shirt, she was…kind of strange for me...her face was covered with blue silk scarf and black cat eye sunglasses. She walked towards the corner table and gave her order to the waiter.
5:29pm: my eyes were constantly on her. By this time, she was calling someone, and dang!! That was me. Now I was pretty sure that she is the bomber…or prank caller or …whatever she is. I didn’t answer her call.
5:30pm: I didn’t answer her call, though it was 5:30. I slowly walked toward her. She wasn’t facing me. I reached toward my gun. I answered her call, while standing just behind her!
