it's third block, I'm in english in high school when a dark tall shadow passes by the door. It gave me that kind of freezing chill that you get after washing dishes at work and haveing to walk in to the freezer to get some buttermilk biscuits. I can feel the intensity of the coldness and the fear of the shadow and by all mean I know I must find out who or what it was.

I decided to walk over to my best friend's house, and once I got closer her driveway, I could see the door was left ajar. Rita probably left it open for me, I thought, while shaking my head disapprovingly. "In my 19 years of life I never really experienced anything worth telling a story about. Usually when something exciting happened to me, which was rare, I'd sum up the key parts and move on.
