After the Ponds death the Doctor thought he'd ever be able to smile again. But what happens when he travels back to 2008 and becomes a history teacher at a orphanage for Girls where he meets a girl who knows who he is and more importantly what he is. This girl is Ashley Thompson a girl who felt so alone when the Doctor never returned to the orphanage after he found her drawings of the TARDIS and a date that would change it all. Five years later they are reunited and Ashley becomes his assistant but will they always just be Doctor and Assistant or will love strike up between the two?.
