Devon Harrison is an eighteen year old who is half way through college when he saves another young adult from being killed. The two men attacking want to build a device for jumping between universes but Sam wouldn't cooperate because of the lack of materials. Devon needs to stop them with Sam but discretely. in the meantime Devon watches the streets for any minor crime. Sam makes the plans and Devon pursues them in his unknown alias, Nightrunner.
