Seventeen-year-old Katie is perfectly happy with her life. She is just about to graduate from high school and then it will be a summer filled with traveling before she starts college in the fall. Then everything changes when she is sent to live with her biological father in Tennessee. No traveling, no parties, just an awkward 3 weeks in Tennessee. It's only for 3 weeks. In 3 weeks she will be 18 and she will be on her own.
But when a reluctant 3 week visit turns to an extended summer vacation among relatives she never knew she had, in a town that is straight out of the past, one thing becomes clear: nothing is what it seems, not her biological father, crazy relatives, or the summer farm hand, Brody.
