Every person has a phrase on their arms, since birth, and until the day it is used for it's purpose. It's a socially accepted fact, everyone has one, and it's due in part to the fact that the world likes to see it's people suffer.

Dipper is convinced that his is the worst, and for good reason. Having become an obsessed shut in because of it, his first actual contact with another human being may serve to be a lot more painful than he initially hoped.
