Hoisting the heavy bag onto slim shoulders and grabbing a small case with more of my favourite things in it, I headed back down the stairs, yawning, tired like all the energy had been stolen from my body.
"Maybe I could sleep for just a ... little... longer..." I shut my eyes.
Keeping hold of my case I fell.
Tilting forwards over the stairs.
I plummeted to the ground with shut eyes and gravity gratefully brought the tiled floor to meet my face.
