Drawn To You

"Ever heard of the saying, 'curiosity killed the cat?'" He asked, leaning forward, his face so close to mine that our lips almost touched. I knew he was trying to intimidate me; it almost worked. Quashing the building anxiety I felt in my chest, I swallowed the lump in my throat and smirked; accepting his challenge head-on.
"It's a good thing I like dogs then."

In a journal full of sketched faces and made-up stories, only one made her want to know the truth.

Twenty year-old Avery Wilson's habit of drawing portraits of random people she meets started way back when she was younger, and she wasn't stopping anytime soon. As a naturally curious person, seeing the changes of expressions and emotions on people's faces often made her think of the "why's, how's and what's". Knowing these things made her feel like she understood people better.

She has seen the why, how and what of Julian Leonards. But when she realizes that seeing simply wasn't enough. Determined, she decides that it was high-time she asked the questions that needed asking.

When the two finally meet, Avery curls herself into a question mark around him and Julian finds himself letting her.

As they draw the line between their unlikely friendship, will they find themselves drawn to each other?
