Living my life just the way I should be. Got a fairly well paying job in New York, Going to university and having my own nice little unit.
Well that was my life anyway. I know things that barely anyone knows. I know what lurks in the darkness. I didnt have a choice.
I was minding my own buissness when I see something move in the shadows. Like everyone else I just dismissed it as my imagination. Boy. Was I wrong. This.......this creature attacked me. It was pure black and shaped like a strange, limping, disfigured being. It grabbed me. It dragged me. I gave up. Until as if out of nowhere a boy kills the horrid beast. He doesn't say anything and leaves, leaving me shocked scared and confused. After the confusion begins to clear another person comes to me. His name is Maxwell and he asked if i was attacked? He says that people dont know the incredibly dangerous world they live in. He claims to be whats known as a 'Shadow Hunter'.
Thus I am introduced to the real world. Maxwell explains that's it's incredibly rare for a shadow to not kill its prey. I tell him I was saved. He says that none of the shadow hunters in New York were around the area at all.
Now not only am I apart of the secret world of Shadow Hunters but I also have no way of finding who saved me.
My name is Chloe. And I'm part of the real world.

Steven exclaimed next to me, his brown eyes going huge at the sight in front of me I look up to see Ares, he jumps off the stage and runs at me, the crowd splits in half leaving me in the middle where he can get to me easier "Gee thanks guys" I glare at everyone He quickly but gently picks me up into his strong arms slamming his soft pink lips onto mine. Fireworks.Sparks.Tingles. It's as if all of the evil memories or thoughts of him were washed away as I kissed him more. Like as if I was brainwashed, in a trance that I couldn't break out of. It was addicting like a drug, I had to have more. Then I remember who he was. What he has done to innocent people. My mate is a monster. I pull away in shock not believing what I just have done. It felt like I murdered someone just by kissing Him. This is wrong. I hate it. But, I love it. He looked at me with shock and hurt expression on his face The Alpha Ares actually has feelings? The Mystery Guy Next Door
The strip of leather made contact with the skin on my back. The burning pain soared and I had to grit my teeth so no noise came out. I've lost count. I can't even remember the number of times he has brought the whip down onto my back. The burning sensation cooled and for a few seconds I thought the torture had finished but my thoughts soon came crashing down. Instead of being mauled by the whip, I heard a crunch as the bones in my torso were crushed by a heavy booted foot kicking me in the side. I grunted in pain. I had been in this cell for God knows how long and it was now probably some time in the evening. "Trying to be clever are we?" His voice booms out, his voice makes me flinch. "That's what you think smart ass. But I was trying to protect her." I replied back. I shouldn't have said that because moments later I'm kicked again in the side; this time so hard that I can feel a rib sink into one of my lungs. I fly towards the opposite wall in the cell, landing on my back. The specks of dirt and dust dig into the deep cuts on my back making me suck in a quick breath. He hadn't changed a bit. But behind Hunter, I see Karina. I see her mouthing, 'I'm so sorry... I tried to... ' and I mouth back, 'it'll be alright...' "Nathan, this was long overdue!" Hunter shouts at Nathan. For a second, I dont understand what he's talking about. But then I realize once Karina hands Hunter a spear shamefully and Hunter aims it at Nathan, but right before he throws it, he looks at Karina. "Would you like to do the honors, My lady?" I see all the blood drain out of Karina's face. I can tell that she doesn't want to. Time stops. Karina stays still, motionless, spear in her hand. "Oh, forget it!" Hunter grabs the spear back out of Karina's hands, and when he throws the spear, and I think it's all over. But before the spear reaches Nathan, He takes one of my arrows and throws it at Hunter. They both collapse to the ground. Nathan is lying in a pool of blood, a spear struck through his heart, and Hunter is also gone, an arrow through his neck. It was all over. ~Karina's POV~ I want to cry. But I can't. I was told never to cry. It made no difference. But I wanted to. I tried but nothing came out. I looked at the remains of the two brothers.
