Three short months after losing her husband in a fatal car crash that almost took her own life, Laurel Tate has decided its time to return to hometown. After wallowing in her own depression, Laurel knows she needs to rebuild her life and carry on living. With a two year old daughter, Laurel can't sit around and worry about the next bad thing that’s going to hit her, she needs to get back on her feet and find a place to belong again. Living in a small there aren’t many houses for sale, and Laurel soon finds herself in a bidding war for the home of her dreams. As the price escalates she feels like her dreams are being crushed, but starts to wonder who has enough money to keep raising the price higher than the ones she has set. After thinking about the money it would take to purchase and up-keep the house Laurel comes to the conclusion that only one person could afford a home like this. After running out of town almost nine years ago, after a terrible break up Laurel never imagined Nicklaus Radaelli to still be hanging around town, and especially never imagined him to be the type of man still single and buying house after all of these years. After a few heated discussions, and a lot of run ins with each other old feelings start to take hold, and Laurel doesn’t know if falling for the man who broke her heart all those years ago is the right decision. Or if coming home was the best decision she ever made.
