*Connie loves a dare as much as me. Leaning over her untouched salad towards me, she whispered. "Right. A dare. I dare you" here she threw a theatrically conspirational glance over her shoulder at the jock table with Ian "To make Ian fall in love with you by the end of the year. Then, if he doesn't do his share of the product, which being Ian of course he won't, you will shatter his heart irreparably as revenge. I mean, for me. My project."
I stared at her. This dare... This was intense. I could feel it. It would be complicated. It would take lots of time and planning and commitment.
